Additional donations fund food packing by Ithaca MobilePack Sept 30-Oct 2. Fundraising goal $5,000!

Our Spring Concert this year will feature the 6th Grade Chorus from Boynton Middle School under the direction of our Associate Director Emily Preston.

DCJS will perform selections from our Carnegie Hall performance as well as some additional spirituals and gospel favorites. Come help us celebrate the end of our concert season and thank our graduating IC seniors!

Community MLK Concert | State Theatre | Wednesday May 4th | 7:30pm

Our annual Martin Luther King, Jr. community celebration has been rescheduled for Wednesday, May 4th at 7:30pm! Featuring the Dorothy Cotton Jubilee Singers as well as the GIAC Jumpers, Ithaca Klezmer Quartet and other local Ithaca groups. Come out to the historic State Theatre to celebrate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King. Jr.! This program is made possible in part with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants program from the New York State Council of the Arts, with the support of the office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by the Community Arts Partnership of Tompkins County. Ithaca College’s annual Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration is moving to the much larger A&E Center for a beautiful concert you won’t want to miss. The concert will also be streamed live on the Ithaca College School of Music youtube page.

Dorothy Cotton Jubilee Singers
Presents the World Premiere of “A Renewed America”
in honor of U.S. Congressman, John Lewis Sunday,
December 19th, 2021, 3:00 p.m.

The world premier will feature Ithaca College professor of voice, baritone, Sidney Outlaw along with a preview of songs from the Dorothy Cotton Jubilee Singers’ upcoming March 2022 Carnegie Hall concert with the Fisk Jubilee Singers. The December 19th concert is filled with good cheer from the season and several spirituals and gospel selections featuring the incomparable, Maria Ellis-Jordan.
